Description:
Road & Driveway Co is seeking to hire a hard working, safety and team oriented individual to work with our asphalt paving crew. As part of the asphalt paving crew you will be responsible for completing various tasks as necessary to complete asphalt paving jobs. This work will be performed for both private and public owners. PREVAILING WAGE RATES will often, but not always, apply. Night shifts are common. Busy season is spring through summer but asphalt can be placed year round weather permitting. Tasks to be performed included, but are not limited to, operating a shovel and lute, moving road cones, placing temporary pavement markings, running compactors, operating an asphalt roller, signalling drivers, running small tools. Applicants should be physically fit, reliable and proficient in the use and application of common sense.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED is preferred and at least one (1) year of related experience in these fields Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Candidate must be at least 18 years of age Ability to work in a number of diverse locations is pertinent, as work locations may change daily. Expected hours: hours will vary by job, location and season. Good interpersonal and team building skills Must have adequate transportation to work and a valid driver's license Adhere to safety procedures/guidelines at all times Punctuality Class A or B CDL Preferred but not required Please stop by our main office at 121 NE Harney St. Newport to complete an application.
